Announcement on Partial Adjustment of the Entity Responsible for Compiling and Releasing the "Shanghai Shipping Index®"
Effective 18:00 on June 18, 2026, the compilation and release of seven container shipping indices, namely the China Containerized Freight Index (CCFI), Shanghai Containerized Freight Index (SCFI), Shanghai Containerized Freight Index based on Settled Rates (SCFIS), Southeast Asia Freight Index (SEAFI), China Import Containerized Freight Index (CICFI), Taiwan (Cross-Strait) Containerized Freight Index (TWFI) and Global (Main Trades) Overall Schedule Reliability Index (GCSP), will be undertaken by Shanghai Shipping Research Institute (in Preparation). Shanghai Shipping Exchange will remain the compiler and publisher of all other shipping indices.
For the convenience of users, the inquiry website for SCFIS remains unchanged: www.sse.net.cn/index/singleIndex?indexType=scfis. All other indices can be accessed via both official websites of the two entities as below:
