| Chongqing to spend CNY3.2 billion on waterway infrastructure in 2013 |
Jun.08--CHONGQING plans to invest CNY3.2 billion (US$521.62 million) on waterway traffic projects this year to raise its port capacity by 500,000 TEU in terms of container to a total of 3.5 million TEU, and six million tonnes in terms of tonnage to a total of 151 million tonnes. The city will expedite the pre-construction study on the dredging project of the navigational channels from Wujiang River estuary to Baima, on Xiaojiang River and on Dongxihe River, said Xinhua.
